Can you make one phone call to the governor’s office?
Gov. Newsom, in his “May Revise” budget, tripled the amount of money allocated to a gun violence prevention program called Cal VIP, (Violence Intervention and Prevention). This program has been implemented in Oakland with a resulting 52% decrease in gun violence and in Stockton with a resulting 35% decrease.
Please call Gov. Newsom’s office at (916) 445-2841 and thank him for increasing the funding for this program. Ask him to continue to work to reduce gun violence in our state. You could mention that since you live in San Diego County near the Poway shooting, you are especially sensitive to the tragedy caused by gun violence.

Thank you.
