Our beloved Walk Against Hate is postponed until the fall (as soon as we have that date, we will share it with the community).
Do your part to fight hate in our community by joining the Coronado Democratic Club’s team in the Anti-Defamation League’s Walk against Hate. The 5K walk takes place on Sunday, April 26 at Liberty Station at 9:45. A diversity expo opens at 8:30.
The ADL is a national organization that advocates for legislation to promote inclusiveness and runs education programs for schools and law enforcement. You can find out more at ADL.org
To join the club’s team, go to SanDiegoWalkAgainstHate
Scroll down, click on register, select join a team and look for the Coronado Democratic Club. This website also includes complete information about the walk, including where to park and how to get there.
The early registration cost is $15 for adults and $10 for children 18 and younger. Children ages 3 and under are free. All paying participants will receive a tee shirt. The price goes up at the end of February, so you are encouraged to sign up soon.
Since this is a non-partisan event, no political signs are permitted. We will, however, have a sign identifying our club. No dogs except service dogs are allowed.
For questions, contact team captain Patricia Leahy at patricia.leahy@gmail.com or (619) 252-1799.
We hope to see you there.
