We need to continue registering new Citizens to vote now more than ever. One Wednesday each month new citizens are sworn in at a naturalization ceremony held downtown at Golden Hall. Following the naturalization ceremony volunteers register these new citizens to vote.
When: Wednesday March 25th – CANCELLED
Wednesday April 22nd from 10:15 AM to 12:30 PM
Where: 3rd Ave. and B Street, in the Civic Theater Plaza, adjacent to Golden Hall.
A tutorial on the form and procedure will take place at 10:00 am for new volunteers. No need to pre-register. Wear comfortable shoes, a light sweater or jacket, a light blue t-shirt to show our Dem Blue, and your enthusiasm.
Macy’s had been offering validation for three hours free parking in their Horton Plaza store, no purchase necessary. The validation machine was in the Men’s Shoe Department. They are closing that store very soon so please call ahead to see if they are still open. Your parking ticket can be validated before or after the voter registration.
